| I've seen agility described as "the most fun you can have with a dog" and I have to admit that the rush you get from a great run is quite addictive. Fast and furious, the team MUST work together as one or the course cannot be negotiated successfully. I tried an agility class years ago with Bagel, but she didn't enjoy it at all, so we didn't pursue it. Did a little more agility with my Saluki, Zuli, but she didn't have the temperament for it. Then I started classes with Avery and I think I've found my first real agility dog. We've taken a number of classes and she's doing everything except the weave poles now. I also just started Marseille in her first agility class and she seems to be taking to it naturally. Since they both seem to be enjoying it, we went out and got them both measured for their permanent height cards for AKC agility. Marseille got her two measurements on 6/6/2009 and is qualified to jump at 16" of course it will still be a while before she is trained enough to be ready to enter. Aren got his two measurements on 4/25/2010 and will be jumping 20" eventually, if we ever get to competition. |

| Avery & I attended an agility seminar on August 2, 2009 for dogs just starting out up to competing at the Novice level - just right for us. A fellow attendee (Barbara Walls) snapped these 5 pictures of us doing a sequence of jumps - and practicing our start line stays! |
