Avery is my pick puppy from the 2005 Bird litter, she has a face that
just stops me in my tracks.  She's small but I really do love the
Whippets at the smaller end of the standard, it's so much easier in the
ring to lift them up onto the table that way.

She started lure coursing at the end of 2006 and then missed most of
the spring trials due to being in season, but managed to pick up 3
points for a second place finish in August 2007.   Since then she's
picked up another 4 points to bring her total to 7, so we're looking for
the right kind of course plan to show off her agility in the hunt for those
majors.  She's also now stared her race career with a couple of NOTRA
race meets finishing her OTR title on May 18th, 2008.  

Avery finished her beginner obedience class on July 11, 2007 and has
started her agility training.  It looks like she's going to have fun playing
in agility.  She had to substitute for Ruby in the Canine Good Citizen
class when Ruby came in season last fall, and she passed  the CGC
test on October 1st, 2007

At just about 18-1/4 inches tall, she weighs in at 23 pounds

Avery really surprised me by placing third in the 2008 Jersey Rag Racers
Versatility weekend.  She really ran well, earning her first ASFA points and
ending up only 1-1/2 points short of her CR title in straight racing.
