| Even though I didn't own Painter, nor did I breed him, I was able to take him out and show him and run him. The picture below is when we won Best in Match at the Mispillion Kennel Club match in May of 2006. I never expected that. Out on the field Painter has earned his Junior and then Senior Courser titles and managed to pick up 2 points towards his AKC field championship in very limited running in the fall of 2006. |

| Painter lived with the Fitch family from March of 2007 until October 2008 where he accompanied Tabbi in her daily jogging excursions keeping his stamina up. Since he's been back living with Pat Taylor at Chesara Whippets, he's gotten back out on the field, on the race track and even earned a Dock Dog title, since he enjoys the water and just loves to swim. Painter spent 7 weeks with me in the late fall of 2009 after Pat moved into a different house and while she got her fencing up. Since he was going to be here, I signed him up for a beginner obedience class which he completed on December 2, 2009. My goal for this class was that he would be able to pass the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test at the completion and he did that, passing the test on Monday November, 30, 2009. As of December 1, 2010, Painter has 9 points with one major towards his AKC Field Championship, and has all his placements and 93 of the 100 points towards his ASFA FCh. There are still a couple more ASFA trials before the end of 2010 so he may still get the opportunity to finish his ASFA FCh before the end of the year. |
