Whippet Play Date Club

Greetings Whippeteers,
Looks like we're heading back to Fidos for our July event. The Canine
Country Club in Leesburg is having a herding event, so we'll do a return run
to Fido's Friend in Maryland on Saturday, July 19. We will, however, be
altering the time because of the heat. We'll be playing from 4 p.m. to dusk.
The rain date is Sunday, July 20.
The address for Fido's Friend at Strawberry Hill Farm is 12155-B
Creagerstown Road (Route 550), Thurmont, MD 21788. The cost there is $10
for each dog in a family, with a $20 cap, plus equipment fees for our club,
which is $3 for one dog, $5 for more than that.
Please remember, if you haven't paid your yearly dues, to bring a check (or
cash) for $15.
We'll have a first hour of free play time, followed by some lure/box
training. Alternatively, people are free to practice on the fenced agility
field as well. Please bring water and shade for your hounds, a chair, and
maybe a snack or light dinner for yourself, as well as any treats you wish
to give to your dog(s).
And again, just in the way of transparency as to how we're picking dates:

July 12-13 Berryville shows, Beltsville Rally trials

Also, just fyi, we'll plan on heading to Quiet Waters Dog Beach in Annapolis
in August. I hope to see you and your hounds at our upcoming playdates! Take
