Whippet Play Date Club

Greetings Whippeteers,
Our next playdate is a Whippet Halloween Costume Party scheduled for
Saturday, Oct. 15th, beginning at 1 p.m. and ending by 4 p.m. Our party
is at a private beach area off the Potomac River.. The address is 5701
River Drive, Lorton, VA 22079. Same place as the summer beach party.
This is a really cool private beach area. It's a sandy beach with a
gradual walk out into the river, lots of grass, but it is NOT fenced, so
please plan accordingly. I would suggest bringing a Whippet swim/life
vest if you have them for your hounds if they like the water,along with
chairs. There are also great walking trails including areas that are totally
shaded nearby.
Please park on the 'same side of street only' as others in our group and
do not block any driveways. You will be parking at the top of a small hill.
The beach, park, pavilion is at the bottom of the hill. For those that need
to drive a vehicle down to the area due to heavy items such as crates.
(A) Jack and I will have one vehicle at a time drive down, drop off and
come back up and park, and (B) there will be no parking on the grass at
the bottom of the hill. Either Jack or I will help coordinate.
Not only should your whippet come in costume, their servants should
also come in costume if possible. We will have lite foods and drinks,and
we all can bring something to munch on or drinks. We will sign up for
those things as the event gets closer. We will have a 1st. 2nd. & 3rd
place for best costumed Whippet. So you have plenty of time to get
ready for what should be a fun event.....
And a Big Thanks to Jack & Lisa for making this possible, by inviting us
back to the Beach commumity again...........
