Polo went to live with Melissa Haas when he was only 12 weeks old
and I've been lucky enough to see him once since then. Looking at
these pictures that Melissa just sent me I'm amazed at how much he
looks like his sisters Dallas and Maya, and his half sister Avery.
Polo had the misfortune to get into a bottle of Advil (Ibuprophen) at a
young age (Whippet puppies will eat anything!) and came very close
to loosing his life due to kidney failure. The vets gave him only a 20%
chance to survive. But survive he did. He will have to be monitored
for the rest of his life, and Melissa has him on a home made raw diet
now in order to keep him as healthy as possible for as long as
possible.
Melissa tells me that Polo's fall 2007 blood work was NORMAL!!
