Ripley was the biggest puppy in his litter at birth, and he stayed the biggest puppy in the
litter.  Ripley is the first Field Champion in his litter and the first Champion for his father,
Brooks.

I met George Evans at one of SHOT's practice days in Chesapeake, VA and he expressed
an interest in the puppies I had along that day but he'd have to talk to his wife.  That's how
Ripley came to live with George & Michelle Evans in the Richmond, VA area.

Ripley started his coursing career at the
SHOT ASFA trial in October 2006 and took Best of
Breed in his very first trial.   In only 7 trials over two months Ripley finished his ASFA Fch,
ending up with another first place at the UCBSC trial in Hanover, PA on December 30,
2006.  The coursing pictures on this page were taken at Hanover by Laura Kiefer, and big
thanks to Laura for having such a wonderful hobby and making the pictures available to all
of us.

Ripley earned the first leg of his JC at the SHOT JC test in January and his second leg and
his first entry at SHOT's AKC trial in March 2007.  He won Best of Breed in his very first AKC
trial for a 5 point major.
