HOME COOKING FOR YOUR PETS
“You are what you eat… if it’s good for you, it’s good for your pet.”
Doggie Delight:
May be cut in half to make a smaller batch and you may add or enhance
to your dog’s preference.
A dog’s meals should be approximately ¾ meat, ¼ vegetables.
Ingredients:
▪ 4 pounds of ground or chopped lean meat
(turkey, chicken, hamburger, chuck or beef heart)
– meat can be used either cooked or raw
▪ 1/8 cup vegetable oil
▪ 1 cup cooked or raw vegetables
(any assortment of veggies, i.e., carrots, etc.)
▪ 1 teaspoon tamari soy sauce or ¼ teaspoon iodized salt (optional)
▪ 1-2 cloves of garlic, crushed or minced (optional)
▪ Nupro Supplement
Combine all ingredients, except Nupro. Let batch cool, separate into
airtight containers and freeze those portions that will not be used within
the next two days. Add Nupro supplement at meal time (use the chart on
the container for amount).
FEEDING INSTRUCTIONS: 1-2% of your dog’s body weight per day (for
example a 50 pound dog would eat approximately 0.5 – 1 pound of food
per day).
