| As of April 4, 2010, after working at it for nearly 5 months, I finally have Sunny back home at Jaytea. Sunny is the only Whippet I've ever had that could get OVER my six foot chain link fence. But she went over it, not once, but twice, requiring some fence modifications to keep her safe. I co-own Sunny with David Gough, and she has been living with David and his wife, Jennifer for the last four years, in Richmond, Virginia, where she's had two accidental litters in the last three years, the second of these litters was sired by her son out of the first accidental litter. When I have a little more time I'm going to do a page which will outline my entire experience with this co-ownership. On November 15, 2010 David promised on the phone to transfer ownership of Sunny back to me and allow me to remove myself as owner of her two offspring from the first accidental litter, but as of 2/3/2012 I've not received the papers. Sunny has settled back in as if she'd never been gone. The breeding that I'd been planning since 6/11/2007 was finally done and she whelped 10 puppies the morning of 6/8/2010, Click here to see the puppy's litter page. Sunny has run in a couple of ASFA lure coursing trials and managed to pick up her first points towards her field championship. She's run in a few AKC lure coursing trials and is pointed in that venue as well. Sunny finished her beginner obedience class on November 22, 2010 and received a nice certificate of completion for graduation. She attended a Canine Good Citizen class and passed the CGC test on March 1, 2011. Since then she's been attending agility classes and doing quite well. I an looking forward to letting Sunny run in more lure coursing trials and some more race meets now that she's box trained. |
