After taking Parker to the Emergency Vet to be cremated (VERY difficult to hand him over!) on Saturday evening, I had dinner with Shannon & Stewart Lyons and helped celebrate Stewart's 13th birthday. Shannon had invited me to share their hotel room which I was very grateful for, not really wanting to be alone. Sunday morning we were up and out early again and over to the trial site, only 15 minutes away.

Entered were Saluki Zuli, Whippets Avery & Marseille. Once again, Zuli was the only Saluki entered so we were automatically able to run for Best in Field. That seems to be the norm these days, there just hasn't been any Saluki competition out there. Both Avery and Marseille finished out of the ribbons and Zuli had a less than spectacular run for field, so we ended up going home with no points, only tired happy dogs.

After being on the road for 6 days, we were all VERY glad to get back home to our own yard and our own beds. But I'd do it again in a heartbeat!
