The ASFA Region 8 Invitational lure coursing trial for 2008. Sponsored by SHOT and held on their regular field in Williamsburg, Virginia. I stopped at the emergency vet's office on the way to the trial to pick up Parker's ashes. It was difficult, but then it always is when you loose a loved one.
I only entered Ruby, Zuli and Aren as the entries were more expensive than usual and they're the only three I have that I run in ASFA trials yet. Ruby and Zuli were both in their post-season running slump, so I didn't expect much from them and that's about what I got, but they both picked up points towards their LCM titles so it wasn't a total loss. Aren didn't really run well and finished out of the ribbons. It was a big trial and it ran late, as I was packing up to leave I couldn't find Zuli's colar and lead. I looked all over the place for it, even driving back to the field from the banquet site to search for it. Nowhere to be found! I haven't completely emptied the van yet, but it certainly looks like someone helped themselves to a nice colar and lead. It was almost midnight before I got home - that was one long drive. ~~Joanne 2007-11-14 23:43:22 GMT
