No photo today :-((

I entered Saluki Zuli and Greyhound Ruby in the "Other Breed" NOTRA race meet at Ft. Mott, NJ today, and the ground there was just as bad as it was at Delaware City the previous two days.   Crunchy grass.  Dogs were blowing pads right and left and Ruby was no exception.  She really was running well and it looked like she was going to win her race in the second program, but she slowed up half way around the track and sure enough, she'd blown half a pad on one of her rear feet.  So she had to be scratched.

Of the 4 Salukis that actually ran, three blew pads in the second program.  One was scratched at once, a second one had to be scratched at the line and a third ran wrapped since her pad loss was small.  Lucky for Zuli, she didn't blow her pad until the end of the last race and ended up winning the meet, bringing home 2 ORC points and 2 National points.
