Good news and bad news today, first the good news - Ripley (Chesara Jaytea Ptarmigan) went Best of Breed at the SHOT trial today in Williamsburg, Virginia for his second major! Hip, hip hooray!!! That second major is always SO much harder to get than the first one.  Congratulations to George and Michelle!

At the echo-cardiogram clinic today Marseille got a 100% normal report, but the vet says that Avery shows the beginnings of the Mitral Valve pro-lapse. He says it's very slight, and you can't hear it yet, but by the time she's 4 or 5 years old he thinks it'll be quite noticable. I guess I'll try to get her re-checked at the National or when I go up to Madison, WI next spring to see Dr. Stepien. At the least it will delay breeding her and at the worst it will prevent me breeding her at all. I'd be quite disappointed at that to say the least.
