A good day today. Although the weather got a bit warm, and the trial was quite small (causing me to have multiple back to back courses) all the dogs ran well and we came home with no injuries.

I ran 6 dogs and 4 of them got points. It ended up like this:

1 - Greyhound Ruby was Best of Breed, for one point

2 - Saluki Zuli was Best of Breed, for one point

3 - Whippet Derby (Chesara Jaytea Curlew) won the Special stake for three points

4 - Whippet Aren (Kismet's Purple Haze) placed 4th in the Special stake (no points) but he finished his Master Courser title!!

5 - Whippet Sunny (Chesara Jaytea Chimney Swift) placed 3rd in the Open stake for 1 point (her first point) and finished her Senior Courser as well

6 - Whippet Marseille (Shannon Down French Kiss) got left in the dust, and got no placement and no points, but she had fun and came off the field sound.

As an extra added bonus, Ripley (Chesara Jaytea Ptarmigan) finished 2nd in the Open stake which gave him 2 points, one more than he needed to finish his AKC Field Championship. Whoo Hooo. There are now two Field Champions from the Bird litter!
