What a difference a day makes! Still dealing with a cold rain, but I hardly had to be out in it at all. I loaded everyone up & we headed West to Purcellville, Virginia to a health clinic that I like to support. This clinic is sponsored by Labrador Rescue and all the proceeds go to support rescue so it's money going towards a good cause. This day I had scheduled OFA hip x-rays for Avery and Marseille as I wanted them evaluated before I breed either one of them just to be sure there's no problem.
The folks there are all very nice and watching Avery cope with the 'light sedation' they used was a real hoot! She acted like a drunk. Marseille seemed to cope with the unusual feeling by just slowing down a little but Avery still wanted to go full speed & her legs didn't quite work right. I was lucky to be in the right place at the right time when the vet came to the computer terminal to look at the X-rays and he read off Avery's registered name & said "Perfect." So I commented 'perfect picture or perfect hips?' and his response was "Both." Yea! We'll see, eventually, if OFA agrees with him. He also said Marseille's were also good so I've got my fingers crossed on both of them. I also paid them extra to get copies of the X-rays on a CD, and I look forward to receiving them. ~~Joanne 2008-11-26 22:20:12 GMT
