It was really strange today to not be going up to Mom's for dinner. Like I said - it's a break with tradition and I suppose the beginning of a new tradition.

I spent the morning relaxing in front of the computer drinking coffee and early in the afternoon I went down to Pat's house & we took Painter over to her employer's boat dock to get him some Dock Dogs practice jumping into the water. He is certainly enthusiastic about fetching his toy, but he was 'cheating' today by just running down the boat ramp instead of jumping off the side. It was pretty cold to be jumping in the water so we didn't spend a whole lot of time doing that.

After dropping Painter back off at Pat's house we went up to the Sage Diner and had a very nice Thanksgiving dinner, no muss, no fuss, no cleaning up afterwards. There's certainly a lot to be said for this kind of Thanksgiving Dinner - and I still got more food than I was comfortable eating.

A relaxing evening with a glass of cream sherry & to bed early.
