New Year's Eve - 2008
If I thought it was cold on Saturday at Hanover, I was proved wrong today!  We had such a steady wind that it went right through you.  It was absolutely BITTER cold.  I actually took dogs to the line with their coats on and they were still shivering until the last minute when the lure started.  None of them ran particularly well - I think it was just TOO cold.  Thankfully we had sun most of the day so it stayed nice and comfortable in the van.

Zuli got her days wrong and turned up in season at roll call - only two months later than I expected and just one day too soon, so she had to sit out the day.  Ruby was one of 7 Field Champions running and she came in next to last, so no points for her today.  Neither Aren nor Derby got points either, so only Kira got points and that's only because there were only three veterans so she got the bottom points for finishing third of the three.  I think she ran the best course she's done in a long time, but then I did have her adjusted last Monday.

I also thought that Aren ran better for having been adjusted yesterday, but I'll have to reserve judgment until the March race meets when he's had another adjustment or two.

I was SO cold that I didn't wait until ribbons today, as soon as the final scores were posted I was out of there!  Got half way home before dark and was glad of it.  Ended up in bed by 10:30 and was sound asleep shortly there after - missed the ball dropping in Times Square but slept like a rock!
