Our first actual tracking class today!  Kris & I left Salisbury about 4:15am and arrived at Oatlands Plantation about 7:35 - only an hour early.  I guess Kris drives faster than I do, so next week we'll leave a half hour later. <G>

Since Zuli is in season she got to go last.  But after a short question and answer session (and I actually remembered my questions AND got them answered!) we started laying tracks.  We got to lay a serpentine track today and we got to watch all the other dogs run their tracks & see what problems everyone else is having.

Zuli seemed to have trouble getting started so I was given some tips about helping her figure out her starts.  I'm looking forward to working on them.  We were done there just before noon & got back to Salisbury (after a few quick stops) by 4:00 and I was home by 4:15.  Nice way to spend the day, with like minded dog people doing things with our dogs.

Unfortunately the forecast looks pretty nasty for most of the week, and even though tracking tests get done regardless of the weather, I'm not going to make our tracking training a bad experience for either of us at this point.  I'm really hoping to get in one or two tracking sessions towards the end of the week, since we have our second class next Sunday!  Not much training time in between classes!
